DESCPRIPTION OF PROJECT
In the scope of the traffic study for the reorganisation of the road network in the Rust - Ringsheim - Rheinhausen - Kappel - Grafenhausen area a traffic model has been prepared on the basis of traffic surveys carried out using an interactive graphic software.

With the aid of assignment calculations the traffic loads on the road network were determined for different scenarios and a final overall assessment of the scenarios for the aspects of regional development, traffic, and agriculture made. In addition, noise and air pollution surveys were performed. Preparation of the detailed design included the comparative analysis of variants for the new construction of an interchange on the Federal Motorway A5. Capacity calculations were performed for signalled junctions and roundabouts with bypasses. After the official approval procedure the final design documents were prepared.
