Sousse Sud wastewater treatment plant DESCPRIPTION OF PROJECT The project's aim is to optimise the operation of the wastewater treatment plants of Sousse Sud and Bizerte as well as of those constructed within the project for the sanitation of eleven towns in the Medjerdah Valley, i.e. Béja, Jendouba, Medjez El Bab, Siliana, Bou Salem, Teboursouk, Testour, Tebourba, Jedeida, Ghardimaou and Gaafour. Solutions are developed to solve the various problems incurred after the plants have been put into service and during their operation, especially with a view to: ensuring a sound operation of the various sewage treatment plants meeting the quality standards set for wastewater and sewage sludge treatment stabilising the treatment results optimising the cost of energy and consumables required for a sound plant operation, ensuring at the same time that the quality standards set for treated effluent and sewage sludge be met improving the control manuals like the plant operation manual training plant operating staff.
