Extension of the Water Supply of the City of Kabul, Afghanistan
Fichtner Water & Transportation handled the development of all components of the existing water supply system up to a rate of production that corresponds to the exploitation of all local water resources that were easy to develop (approx. 120,000 m³/d).
The measures included the drilling and development of wells, restoration of existing wells, well collecting lines, transmission pipelines up to DN 800, restoration and construction of several pumping stations and concrete reservoirs, laying of several hundred kilometres of distribution network including private connections.
