Mobility Concept for the Urban District “Garden Campus Vaihingen”, Stuttgart, Germany
The former IBM premises in Stuttgart-Vaihingen with the listed buildings by Egon Eiermann had been purchased by the GERCH Development GmbH. The area was to be developed within the concept labelled Garden Campus Vaihingen. When planning the future use for residential and business purposes, the mobility concept was an important aspect. By means of an innovative approach, it was intended to obtain a shift from traditional individual motor vehicle traffic to a new mobility (e-mobility), sharing options as well as innovative public transport features (e.g. cable car).
