Technical Support for the Offshore Wind Farm Hohe See, 100 km North of the Island of Borkum, Germany
The offshore wind farm Hohe See is located in the North Sea about 100 km to the north of the island of Borkum. The total rated power of the wind farm amounts to 500 MW. In an area of about 42 km² with an average water depth of approx. 40 m, 80 wind turbines were installed on jackets. The design was reviewed. Within the framework of a multi-level award process, the client has been provided with design co-ordination, a design review, the assessment and detailed design of scour protection as well as with supplementary cost estimates for the foundation structures and transition pieces.
