Culvert "Wilde Weißeritz" at the Hydropower Plant Tharandt, Germany
The raw water conduit DN 1,200 in the river bed of the “Wilde Weißeritz” of the hydropower plant Tharandt to the hydropower plant Coschütz had been visibly rinsed free and damaged in the upper area and therefore required immediate replacement.
Since approximately 60 % of the drinking water supply of the city of Dresden depends on this conduit, there was an instant need for action. During the construction work, it had to be guaranteed that it was possible to supply the hydropower plant Coschütz with 5 000 m³/h of water within 48 hours and that the state road S 192 was always trafficable.

- Bypass conduct DN 700 - DN 1,000 steel, 104 m long, incl. a pipe bridge over the mountain river with a length of 18 m, emergency structure with overflow DN 1,600 and two globe valves DN 600 for pressure reduction
- 45 m of raw water conduct DN 1,200 steel in the Stahl in the trail of the existing conduct with open construction, installation in the river bed as culvert
